I don't know when, but we have to try. Instituting wind and solar power is absolutely possible right now, on a national scale- it is happening all over the world (from Germany to Central America), but there is apparently a moratorium on using Federal land for solar power at the same time that this additional drilling is going to occur. It makes no sense except to those who own the oil and gas companies and the drilling companies ... all good friends of the current administration. Thanks for your comment.

No matter how careful companies are when they drill, there are environmental impacts. Aren't they also pushing for more offshore drilling? When will we learn we need to reduce consumption and not exploit our wilderness?

I dare to hope that the 30-day review will turn up something that will stop this plan, but I fear my hopes are futile. 4400 wells is a LOT of drilling.

What they need is a really good environmental lawyer.
